Welcome to my website!

Trained as an environmental sociologist, I have conducted research on the social and political dimensions of climate change, environmental politics, environmental justice, climate justice, climate change adaptation, health and wellbeing, and disaster risk management. I hold a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (Mumbai, India). Since 2019, I have been a faculty member in the School of Sustainability at XIM University (Odisha, India).

I have published two book monographs as author/co-author, and three edited volumes as lead co-editor. As an academic, I have designed and delivered courses on environmental and social issues, gender, disaster management, sustainable development, human-wildlife conflicts, social entrepreneurship, food security, public administration, and governance.

I have received several international fellowships and travel grants over the years. I continue to network and collaborate with peers in China, the United States, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, France, Norway, South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, and Kenya to strengthen my research and teaching. I am always open to discussing potential collaborations.
